If you’re seeking a fine dining experience in a spectacular setting, look no further than The Cider Barn. This charming 450-year-old, Grade II listed barn is half an hour’s drive from our pods; combining a café, bar and restaurant in one.
The Cider Barn strives to celebrate the county’s fine produce and changing seasons with an imaginative and creative food menu, as well as specially selected wines, craft ciders, beers, and spirits. Their menu changes daily, as it is based upon the fresh and seasonal produce from local providers that are delivered each morning, but has previously included delicious dishes such as pan-fried mackerel, sirloin steaks and parmesan polenta; finished off with a rich chocolate tart or refreshing lemon parfait.
Indulge in a delicious dinner at The Cider Barn on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 6-11pm, or enjoy a lovely lunch on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12-3pm. Booking well in advance is highly recommended.

Named the Best Pub in Shropshire in the National Pub and Bar Awards, The Lion is a stunning, riverside option for dining out, located just a 30 minute drive away.
Everything is made in-house using locally sourced ingredients – fresh, tasty, and cooked to perfection. Choose from traditional staples such as burgers, fish pie, steak, ham egg & chips, with an added finesse about them. Desserts are just as mouth watering, with offerings such as home made ice cream, local cheesecake and dark chocolate & blackberry torte.
Pop over to The Lion for lunch from Monday - Saturday between 12-2:30pm or Sunday 12-3pm. Or enjoy dinner Monday - Saturday between 5:30-8:30pm. Booking in advance is recommended.
3) The Harp Inn at Old Radnor

Head to the other side of the valley and discover this picturesque 15th Century inn, boasting traditional rustic oak beams and stunning slate floors. Offering far-reaching views towards our pods from the other side of the Radnor Valley, The Harp Inn is well worth a visit.
This 2020 Country Pub of the Year (named in the Good Pub Guide) serves up a delicious array of home cooked, locally sourced meals; as well as an excellent selection of cask ales, wines, and local ciders.
The Harp is open for dinner Wednesday-Saturday from 6 – 9pm, and for lunches on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 – 2.30pm. Booking in advance is highly recommended.
4) The George & Dragon, Knighton

The George and Dragon are Wales' first 100% gluten free and dairy free restaurant, serving delicious pub far and French cuisine in the historic Welsh town of Knighton. An panic not if you are vegetarian or vegan, as these dietary requirements are also catered for.
The George & Dragon is open Tuesday evenings 6 - 8:30pm and Wednesday-Saturday for lunch from 12 – 2.30pm and dinner from 6 – 8.30pm (or till 10:30pm on Saturdays). They offer Sunday lunches from 12 – 3pm. Booking well in advance is highly recommended.
5) The Cattle Shed at Penrhos

"The Cattle Shed, is situated within a transformed cattle byre across from the manor house. Our dedicated kitchen team led by Head Chef Christopher Dean will serve you the finest locally sourced ingredients. With its beautiful wooden beams, stone walls, huge wooden chandeliers and the odd ‘mouse light’ peeping out here and there, the former cattle byre has a laid back and rustic charm, perfect for relaxed dining."
Full English breakfasts are served from 9am on weekdays/ 10am on Saturday. The kitchen is open from 12-3pm for all other food, including light bites and freshly-baked cakes from the licenced bar. On Sundays, coffee and cake is served from 10am and the popular Sunday roast from 12-3pm. Booking in advance is recommended.
